[서울=뉴시스]Reporter Jae-woo Shin = The Korea Publication Culture Industry Promotion Agency announced that it will participate in the Gothenburg Book Fair to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden until the 25th to introduce Korea’s publication killer content.

After being invited as a guest country in 2019 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties with Sweden, Korea is the third country to participate this year, following the online event in 2020. This exhibition, organized under the theme of ‘Books from Korea’, is recommended by publishing experts from all walks of life, including ▲picture books, adult literature, comics, webtoons, and dramas based on genre novels and webtoons. 85 books in 4 fields will be presented.

In line with the theme of the book fair, live drawing performances and seminars will also be held by Lee Ki-hoon, a picture book artist known for his ‘desire trilogy’ such as ‘Tin Bear’, ‘Big Fish’ and ’09:47′. Through ’09:47′, this seminar will discuss the artist’s work journey and the desires of modern people living in capitalism amid environmental crisis, the theme of the book fair, ‘climate crisis’.
Copyright export consultation is also conducted. As export consultations, which have been conducted in a non-face-to-face format, are conducted in a face-to-face format, European export experts will participate to help export copyrighted books and raise the local market’s interest in Korean publication contents.
An official from the Publication Promotion Agency said, “We hope that participation in this exhibition will be helpful in promoting and exporting domestic contents in a situation where participation in the international book fair has been difficult due to Corona 19.” We look forward to enjoying it.”
