The mango shaved ice sold in hotels is popular, but expensive.

Shilla Hotel, famous for its apple mango shaved ice, raised its price again this year, exceeding the 100,000 won range.

This is because mango prices have risen, and it has been confirmed that starting this year, prices have been raised even though mangoes from the southern region, which are cheaper than those from Jeju, have been used.

The price of mango shaved ice, which has been increasing every year for the past three years, has been raised again this year.

The price is 102,000 won.

It is 4,000 won more expensive than last year.

The hotel explained that they raised the price due to the rise in mango prices.

However, as a result of Channel A’s coverage, it was confirmed that starting this year, mangoes from the southern region, which are relatively cheaper than those from Jeju, are being sold in combination.

“Until last year, we only insisted on products from Jeju, but starting this year, we mixed some products from Jeju with mangoes from inland regions.”

The explanation is that the country of origin has been dualized to ensure a stable supply of apple mangoes.

As of today, 3 kg of apple mango special product costs 180,000 won at farms in Haman, Gyeongsangnam-do and 200,000 won at farms in Jeju, about 20,000 won more expensive than in the southern region.

“Delivery is possible right away on land. In the case of Jeju, the logistics distribution fee is 1,500 won per kg plus freight charges.”

We’ve been marketing it as the original Jeju Apple Mango Bingsu, but this year we even quietly removed the word ‘Jeju’ from the menu.

“I think there are a lot of people who come here because they recognize that it’s from Jeju. I feel bad.”

“I’m eating it because I trust it, but it feels like it’s a bit of a deception.”

As the price of domestic mangoes rises, some major hotels also increase the price of shaved ice, with some exceeding 130,000 won.

Signiel Seoul sells it for 130,000 won, up 2.4% from last year, and Four Seasons Hotel sells it for 126,000 won.
