Actor Kang Nam-gil revealed that he never once thought about remarrying after his divorce.
Gangnam-gil and his best friend Lim Ye-jin appeared together on the MBN entertainment program ‘Top Story Show Dongchimi’ that aired on the 18th and talked.
On this day’s broadcast, Gangnam-gil said, “I have absolutely no intention of remarrying.” The reason was children.
Kang Nam-gil explained, “All my children have to grow up and get married, and I have to get my second child to get married as well. That’s why I have to be careful. I have to think about my children until they get married, so I have to be careful.”

Lim Ye-jin told the story of how she tried to secretly arrange a blind date after Gangnam-gil’s divorce in the past, but it did not lead to a couple.
Lim Ye-jin said, “One time, a close senior wanted to secretly introduce Gangnam-gil to his girlfriend, so we decided to meet him and have a meal at a hotel restaurant. Lim Ye-jin also recalled Gangnam-gil, where she had a difficult time due to divorce in the past.
Lim Ye-jin said, “Gangnam-gil is still a popular star in the broadcasting industry. There are many roles and entertainment programs that he is asked to play together. However, he puts up a fence around himself.”
He continued, “He said he didn’t want to say the word ‘divorce’ in his dialogue. That’s how much his thoughts were locked up.” However, she added, “I’m so much better now. I laugh a lot and am more cheerful, but there was a time when I locked myself away for a while.”
Previously, Gangnam-gil divorced in 2000 after 14 years of marriage. Gangnam-gil’s former wife had an affair with two of her men and was sentenced to 10 months in prison for adultery at the time.
On that day’s broadcast, Kang Nam-gil recalled the time of his divorce and confessed, “I went to England with my two children in 2000 because of family issues.”
He confessed, “The cost of living in the UK was high and I couldn’t send my children to university. After a gap of just four years, I played the role of a married couple with Lim Ye-jin in the drama ‘People of Water Flower Village’. The gap of four years was surprisingly long and difficult.”
