This event was prepared to actively participate in Jeollanam-do’s policy to overcome the local extinction crisis and to form a company-wide consensus.
Through the resolution, labor and management expressed their intention to ▲Create a happy workplace where people want to work, ▲Create a workplace culture with work-life balance, ▲Improve working conditions, and ▲Establish a foundation for cooperation for mutual prosperity between labor and management.
Yoo Young-bong, head of the Jeonnam Shinbo branch of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions’ Public Transport Workers’ Union, said, “The union will also actively participate in creating a happy workplace and improving organizational culture.”
Chairman Lee Kang-geun said, “In order to overcome the crisis of local extinction, it is essential to establish a culture of balance between work and life,” and added, “We will pay attention and make efforts to improve working conditions.”
Meanwhile, Jeonnam Shinbo has maintained certification as a family-friendly company from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family since 2018, and is taking the lead in establishing a work-life balance culture by being selected as one of the ‘100 Best Companies to Work for in Korea’ last year.
