The ‘Gyeonggi Future School Trip’ is an on-site experiential education and exchange in which about 80 youth from the province and Gwangju Metropolitan City visit each other’s regions to improve understanding of local culture and coexistence and cooperation, and think together about regional stories and future problems. The selection targets for this Gyeonggi Province are elementary and middle school students who live in bordering areas such as Paju City, Pocheon City, and Yeoncheon County and receive priority support for educational welfare.

Schools wishing to participate must submit electronic documents to the School of Education and Welfare.

The first half of the event is from June 26th to 28th, when Gyeonggi-do youth visit Gwangju Metropolitan City and participate in a May 18 historical tour with Gwangju Metropolitan City youth, a visit and explanation of Yangnim-dong History and Culture Village, astronomical projection observation, and a memory photo exhibition, etc., to promote regional understanding and mutual understanding.
