[천안=글로벌뉴스통신] Cheonan City announced on the 25th (Thursday) that it will conduct ‘Korea Safety Conversion Intensive Safety Inspection’ on buildings and facilities at risk of disaster by June 21st.

Intensive safety inspections are conducted to prevent disasters and prioritize safety by eliminating risk factors in advance.

The facilities subject to this inspection are a total of 96 locations, including children’s play facilities, amusement facilities, construction sites, apartment complexes, medical facilities, lodging facilities, steep slopes, and landslide-prone areas.

Intensive safety inspections are conducted through joint public-private inspections in which private experts in various fields such as architecture (structure), civil engineering, gas, electricity, and firefighting participate to ensure effective safety inspections.

Minor issues discovered through inspection will be immediately corrected, and major issues will be intensively managed until the risk factors are resolved, including follow-up repairs and reinforcement measures.

Jang Seok-jin, head of the safety department, said, “We will make efforts to ensure that citizens can live safely by conducting regular safety inspections on buildings and facilities that are at risk of disaster.”
