Korea I&P (CEO Jae-geun Ryu) won the grand prize in the education franchise innovation category at the Money Today ‘2024 Korea Innovation Awards’ for the 7th consecutive year.

The 2024 Korea Innovation Awards was established to recognize and encourage the consistent contributions of innovative companies in technology, management, and products, in line with the current situation where government efforts and nationwide participation are required to overcome the economic recession.

Korea I&P CEO Ryu Jae-geun, who has more than 30 years of experience in the English education business, has emphasized the importance of expressive English, which turns one’s thoughts into concrete results through the tool of English, rather than classes centered on passive learning and memorization. As a result of these efforts, Korea I&P was able to have about 300 affiliated campuses across the country for Korea University’s English Education Program (EiE), where expressive English can be implemented in learning settings.

Korea I&P’s EiE Language Academy has taken steps to differentiate itself from the industry’s stereotypical programs. As a pre-phonics course, we developed content called Sound First so that you can first understand and embody words through English speech sounds before learning letters, and Dr. Dr. Lee helped you master the rules of phonics in an easy and fun way through the subsequent course. Phonics was created. The amazing process of how each sound meets to form a word, and the word is expressed as letters (symbols), can be easily understood and learned through various activities, games, animations, and chants.

In addition, EiE Language Academy helps students develop their own self-directed learning skills through Prep, an online study program that allows learning anytime, anywhere, output-centered offline classes where close feedback is provided between students and teachers, and an e-Library with over 2,000 English original books. The program was designed to allow this. EiE’s unique online and offline blended learning system has been created. The ‘EiE International English Speaking Contest’ is also held every year so that students can test their improved speaking skills through EiE’s step-by-step customized learning programs that have been developed through these educational programs.

CEO Ryu Jae-geun said, “English education in Korea began as early as the Joseon Dynasty as an education that enabled people to communicate through listening, reading, and speaking. EiE is not a grammar-centered class that was a by-product of Japanese colonial rule, but rather an education that teaches students to actually speak English. “I have revived the education I used to have for the sake of education,” he said, adding, “My goal is to become a K-Edu leading company by becoming a representative of K-Education who speaks high-quality English that can convey one’s thoughts accurately.”
