IT solution company DS International (CEO Kim Hyeong-tae) won the grand prize in the IT total solution category at the ‘2024 Korea Innovation Awards’ held at the Press Center on the 25th.

The Korea Innovation Awards is an event established to recognize and encourage the contributions of innovative companies that have contributed to the domestic economy and industrial development by selecting companies that have grown through technological and management innovation even in difficult economic conditions.
Since its founding in August 2000, DS International has been providing total information technology (IT) solutions, including consulting, system integration, system management, and information protection, for information systems in major industries with abundant experience and advanced technology based on excellent talent. In order to lead a new paradigm such as big data, cloud, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and technology convergence, we are providing practical and differentiated value based on the foundational technologies of future growth engines.
We have continuously expanded and promoted our main businesses, infrastructure construction, information security business, and IT service business, and have expanded our business to AI, big data, IoT, etc. based on the 4th industry to accelerate digital transformation and respond to the digital new deal policy. As part of this expansion, DS International recently signed a business agreement with WeData Lab, a system software development and supply company. Through this distributor agreement, DS International plans to supply WeData Lab’s ‘EZIS DBMS Monitoring Solution’ (hereinafter referred to as EZIS) to the market.
WeData Lab’s Aegis system is a product that can prevent failures and manage performance by monitoring various used DBs and open source DBMS even in a cloud environment. Internal monitoring of open source DBs such as MariaDB and PostgreSQL, which are rapidly expanding, is supported, gaining a lot of trust from customers who want to choose open source DBs.
DST International said that through this contract, it expects to provide new innovative solutions to customers, strengthen the company’s position, and increase sales. In addition, although Aegis Solutions is a latecomer in the industry, it has good performance and price competitiveness to keep up with the first movers, and through this, it is expected to improve competitiveness in the market by diversifying and expanding the company’s product portfolio.
On this day, President Kim Seong-jong expressed his ambition, saying, “Using my experience as a CIO at the best financial institution in Korea, I will grow DS International into a permanent mid-sized company and the best company in the IT total solution industry in the future.”
Meanwhile, President Kim Seong-jong, who accepted the award by proxy today, served as CIO of Woori Bank and CEO of Woori FS, and is currently in charge of management planning at DS International.
