The owner of a soup restaurant dropped over a million won worth of money on the street without his knowledge, but the money was safely recovered thanks to a report from a student who was walking down the street.
He said he was really moved by the current recession and made a special offer to students.

Around 9 p.m. on February 27th, an alley in Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.
A man in his 60s wearing a mask is riding a bicycle, and something pours out of his right pocket.
It’s none other than a wad of cash.
However, the man rode his bike away without even noticing that he had run out of money.
A little while later, a woman wearing a hoodie and a hat was walking down the street and found cash scattered on the road.
He was a first-year student at a nearby high school.

″I was walking when I felt my foot step on something, and when I looked, there was money scattered around like this. Oh, what should I do with this? Should I report it to the police station?”
Yang takes a picture of the cash lying on the floor and starts picking up the fallen bills one by one.
The total amount was 1.22 million won.
After picking up all the cash, Yang takes the money and heads somewhere without hesitation.
We arrived at Hadong Police Station in Gyeongsangnam-do.
The police checked CCTV in conjunction with the control center, checked the identity of the person who lost it, and while following the route, they found a bicycle parked on the road.
At a store, they found a man in his 60s who had lost money.

“They said, ‘I think I lost the money, look for it.’ At first, I thought, ‘I don’t think I lost it.’ Looking at it, I see that (in reality) I don’t have any money..″
After recovering the lost money, the man readily gave Yang a 200,000 won reward and expressed his gratitude by telling her to come visit the soup restaurant he runs anytime.

″He really thanked me so much and told me to come because he didn’t have to pay for the soup and I could eat it for free for the rest of my life.″
The man who got the money back said, “Even these days when life has become difficult, I felt warmth still remaining,” and added, “Yang hasn’t come to eat soup yet, but I really want to treat her to a meal.”

″It’s something to be so grateful for during this recession. I think it’s still this warm… but actually, it’s difficult for me too…”
