According to the provincial government on the 25th, Governor Kim Dong-yeon announced for the first time that he was considering introducing ‘Youth Opportunity Housing’ at the provincial open meeting held the previous day.
In his remarks, Governor Kim said, “The topic of the meeting is the economy and people’s livelihood, the first of which is transportation, and the second is housing,” and “A representative example would be youth opportunity housing.”
He added, “Resolving the housing problem, which is one of the major concerns of the residents of the province, as well as youth opportunity housing through things such as equity-based pre-sale housing, public-supported private rental, and pre-sale conversion rental housing is important in taking care of the economy and people’s livelihood.”
Previously, when Governor Kim announced the development plan for Buksuwon Techno Valley as Gyeonggi Opportunity Town No. 2 last month, he announced that he would provide 1,000 units of equity-based pre-sale housing to provide opportunities for people new to society to build assets.
A provincial official explained, “This is a practical review stage and no specific policy has been established.”
