[아시아뉴스통신=윤석원 기자] Gyeongbuk Techno Park (hereinafter referred to as ‘Gyeongbuk TP’) will hold a seminar and business briefing on ‘Gyeongbuk Region Defense Industry Development Plan’ at the Gyeongbuk TP International Conference Room at 2 pm on the 30th. The seminar will be attended by officials from the Defense Industry One-Stop Support Center and working-level executives from companies wishing to enter the defense industry in the Gyeongbuk region.

This seminar will be divided into two parts and discuss ways to foster all-round defense industry companies in the Gyeongbuk region. In Part 1, Dr. Seung-gyu Lee of the Defense Industry One-Stop Support Center (Gumi) introduced ‘Defense industry small and medium-sized and venture company support policies and the basic direction of national defense industry development’, and Kim Jin-gon, team leader of the Gyeongbuk Industrial Convergence Institute, introduced ‘Through the Ukraine-Russia War. This lecture will be held on the topic ‘K-The Future of the Defense Industry’.

Afterwards, in the second part, there will be a briefing session on recruiting participating companies for the ‘2024 Gyeongbuk Defense Industry Small and Medium Enterprise Productivity Improvement Support Project’ being promoted by Gyeongbuk TP. This project was prepared by Gyeongbuk Province to improve the production capacity of defense export parts for companies producing export weapon system parts.
