[대한뉴스=이정선 기자] Wonju City will participate in the ‘4th Korea Representative Festival Expo’ held at BEXCO in Busan for three days from the 26th to the 28th.

This expo, hosted by the Korea Local Newspaper Association, is an event to promote excellent festivals in each region. Wonju City will decorate a promotional center focusing on the Dumpling Festival, Dancing Carnival, and Hanji Cultural Festival, and will hold SNS follow and experience events for visitors.

The SNS follow event will be held continuously during the expo and will end when the number of souvenirs prepared for the day is exhausted.

From 14:00 to 16:00 on April 26th (Friday) and 27th (Saturday), an experience event called ‘Making a doll traveling around Wonju’ will be held using an anvil, which is loved by people of all ages for its cute and charming shape.

In addition, as a promotional event for the ‘Yongsugol Flower Poppy Festival’ held from May 19 to June 6, flower poppy seeds will be distributed to the first 100 people on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lee Seon-hwa, head of the Tourism Department, said, “Participating in the representative festival fair will be an opportunity to promote Wonju City’s tourism resources and introduce representative festivals, and we will do our best to promote excellent festivals so that many visitors can visit the festival held in 2024.” .
