Sokcho City participates in the 4th ‘Korea Representative Festival Expo’

Sokcho City, Gangwon-do, announced on the 26th that it will participate in the 4th ‘Korea Representative Festival Expo’ to promote representative local festivals, tourism contents, culture and arts, etc.

This expo will be held for three days from today to the 28th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1 in Busan, and 116 organizations across the country will operate 283 booths.

Sokcho City will promote the region’s representative tourism festivals, ‘Yeongrangho Cherry Blossom Festival’, ‘Sokcho Eco Vacation’, and ‘Masupda, Sokcho’, which reflect eco-friendly contents, through the operation of a promotional center at this expo. In addition, we are also promoting travel products and major tourism policies such as ‘Japanese Restaurant Sokcho Walk’, wellness mountain and hot spring trips, and ‘foreign tourist taxi’ for overseas tourists.

In addition, Sokcho City is also introducing the ‘Sokcho Lion Play’, which is Gangwon-do’s Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 31 and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, as well as the city’s representative cultural festivals, the ‘Displaced People’s Cultural Festival’ and ‘Seorak Cultural Festival’.

In addition, the city explained, “We plan to publicize the unique characteristics of Sokcho City, which was selected as a preliminary cultural city, so that it can be ultimately selected as a cultural city.” In order to attract tourists and continuously promote Sokcho City’s tourism, we are also promoting Sokcho City’s SNS follow and festival photo verification events.
