This workshop strengthens the capabilities of information education room construction project managers and managers by sharing best practices of space innovation to improve the operation of the SW-AI education filling classroom and AI convergence education-centered high school information education room construction project, which is scheduled to be newly built in 2024. It was designed to do this.

The event began with guidance on the direction of the project to build a SW-AI education filling classroom and an AI convergence education-centered high school information education room by a superintendent in charge of the Provincial Office of Education, followed by an explanation of best practices of AI education information education room space innovation by Kim Gyeong-gyu, a teacher at Pohang Steel Middle School, and Lee Woo-tak. Meanwhile, in order to create a foundation for SW-AI education, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education has been carrying out a project to build a ‘SW-AI Education Filling Classroom’ since 2017, moving away from the one-way fixed computer room and building a flexible and creative information education space where collaboration between students and project learning are possible. By 2023, a total of 73 schools have built Chaeum classrooms, and 9 new schools have been selected this year to promote the Chaeum classroom construction project.

In addition, focusing on existing information education rooms, we are building future digital capabilities by operating AI information education-centered schools (37 schools), SW-AI education filling classrooms (4 schools), and AI convergence education-centered high schools (6 schools). We are focusing on creating a foundation for nurturing key talent.

Superintendent Lim Jong-sik said, “We will provide administrative and financial support for the creation of a SW and AI education foundation so that students in Gyeongbuk can become leaders in the future artificial intelligence era through the construction of an information education room suited to school conditions and spatial innovation that takes into account teaching and learning design and operation strategies. “I will not spare it,” he said.
