Yongin Special Mayor Lee Sang-il is giving a congratulatory speech at the 42nd Korea Theater Festival Yongin Public Relations Ambassador Appointment Ceremony held at the Yongin Special City Cultural Center on the 26th.

At the public relations ambassador appointment ceremony held at the International Conference Room of Yongin Culture and Arts Center, Mayor Lee Sang-il awarded letters of appointment to actors Jeong Hye-sun, Lim Dong-jin, Lee Jeong-gil, Seo In-seok, Lee Jae-yong, and Park Hae-mi.

Actors Baek Il-seop and Min Woo-hyuk were unable to attend due to personal schedules, but they participated in activities to inform the public about the ’42nd Korea Theater Festival Yongin’.

Mayor Lee Sang-il said, “We are honored that the 42nd Korea Theater Festival Yongin, which boasts the highest authority and tradition in the Korean theater industry, will be held in Yongin, and we are doing our best to make it a successful event.” He added, “The remarkable development of the semiconductor industry and “If culture and art come together in Yongin, where change is taking place, I expect that the quality of the city will be greatly enhanced,” he said.

Mayor Lee said, “During the festival period, plays that made it to the finals through fierce competition from all over the country are introduced, and the ‘1st Korea University Theater Festival’, which features famous overseas works and university students, is also highly anticipated,” he said. “The great actors who accepted the lines will make the ‘42nd Korea Theater Festival Yongin’ even brighter,” he said.

Meanwhile, the eight actors appointed as public relations ambassadors plan to attend various official events and carry out promotional activities online and offline to ensure the success of the theater festival.
