
Prevention of disability and chronic disease management with family and neighbors
[한국사회복지저널 한국사회복지저널] On the 26th, the Sangdang Public Health Center in Cheongju City announced that it is recruiting participants for the nighttime ‘Moonlight Gymnastics Class’.
The ‘Moonlight Gymnastics Class’ is a night exercise program that is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 to 8:30 in the evening from July to October for four months at the Yongam Healthy Living Support Center.
The program consists of exciting aerobics accompanied by music, such as stretching and strength exercises that can be easily followed by local residents along with instructors specializing in sports for daily life.
Sangdang Public Health Center recruits about 30 local residents in Geumcheon-dong and Yongam-dong on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who wish to participate can apply by phone from June 1st to 28th.
A city official said, “It is expected that it will be an opportunity for families and neighbors to participate together in the evening and form a regular exercise habit.”
