According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, on the weekend of the 27th and 28th, Korea will be mostly clear across the country as it falls under the influence of a mobile high pressure system. Temperatures will rise significantly during the day as sunlight shines through clear skies and heats up the surface. On the other hand, at night, the heat will quickly disappear and it will become chilly. The lowest temperature on the morning of the 27th was forecast to be 8 to 16 degrees, and the highest temperature during the day was forecast to be 21 to 30 degrees.

On Sunday, the 28th, the wind coming into Korea will change from a warm and dry westerly wind to a hot and humid southerly wind, and daytime temperatures will rise to 30 degrees in most areas of the country. The daytime temperature is expected to be around 20 degrees only in Yeongdong, Gangwon, where the cool east wind blows. The temperature on the 28th was forecast to rise higher than the previous day, with a minimum of 10 to 16 degrees and a maximum of 18 to 31 degrees.

Since the sea surface temperature in the South Sea is about 2 to 3 degrees higher than normal, the temperature of the wind coming into Korea will also be hotter than usual, and as a result, there may be areas that break the ‘highest temperature in April’ on the 28th.

The daily temperature range will widen to around 20 degrees. In the spring, the daily temperature difference is usually large, but the maximum is usually around 15 degrees. However, as the daytime temperature soars sharply due to the hot south wind, the temperature difference between day and night is expected to increase further.

Next week, when a mobile high pressure system passes over the Korean Peninsula, low pressure will enter, rain will fall across the country, and temperatures are expected to return to normal. Rain was forecast across the country on Monday, the 29th, and in the southern region and Jeju Island on the 30th.
