The city of Mokpo, Jeollanam-do, is accelerating the promotion of the ambitious ‘Mokpo Music Play’ in 2022, drawing the attention of all the people.

According to the city of Mokpo on the 10th, the national-scale contest (audition), which selects the final TOP 5 as a contest, is drawing attention as the application period is coming to a close. The contest is open to all citizens of the country, and the application deadline is August 19th. There is no age limit, and foreigners living in Korea can participate. It is limited to domestic songs, and the genre is a mask genre. To apply, download the application form from the Mokpo Music Play website and submit the self-introduction video file and the song video recording file by email ([email protected]).

The first preliminary round will be judged online from August 23 to 25. The judges are three members of the rock group ‘The Cross’: Lee Si-ha, Hong Seong-min (composer), and Kim Young-seo (composer and vocal director).

The second round of preliminary rounds (Peace Plaza, offline screening) on ​​September 30, and the semi-finals (September 30) and final (October 1) at the Music Play Festival will be held with 5 judges. The total prize money is 115 million won, with 50 million won for 1st place, 30 million won for 2nd place, 20 million won for 3rd place, 10 million won for 4th place, and 5 million won for 5th place.
