(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Han Nam-jik = Professional baseball SSG Landers, together with Pratt Optician, provides vision tests and glasses to 125 children from low-income families.

SSG said on the 21st, “Yesterday, we held a ceremony to deliver donation items for the ‘Hope EYE Campaign’ at the Pratt Optician’s E-Mart training branch.”

The ‘Hope EYE Campaign’ is a social contribution program that supports vision measurement and glasses production for one low-income child in the Incheon area for each regular season home run by SSG players.

The 2023 season SSG squad hit 125 home runs. As a result, we were able to support 125 children selected by the Community Chest of Korea and Sehwa Welfare Center.

SSG infielder Choi Joo-hwan, who participated in the donation ceremony, said, “I feel rewarded that the home run I hit can help those in need.” He added, “Some children from low-income families are not even aware that they need correction because they have not received a proper vision test. “I heard that there is. I hope that children in need can see a brighter world through this campaign,” he said.
