KT, which advanced to the championship game for the first time after moving from Busan to Suwon and won a ticket to the championship game for the first time in 17 seasons since the 2006-2007 season, marked a page in the club’s history.

In the 5th game of the 2023-2024 CheongKwanJang Professional Basketball Semifinal Playoff held at Changwon Gymnasium on the 24th, KT defeated LG 75-65. KT, which recorded 3 wins and 2 losses in the best-of-five semifinal playoffs, defeated LG and advanced to the championship game.

LG took a large lead of 25-14 in the first quarter thanks to 3-pointers by Yoo Sang-sang and Lee Jae-do. KT, who failed to score many points in the second quarter, ended the second quarter behind 30-40.

However, KT changed the mood by scoring 27 points in the third quarter. Paris Bass made two 3-pointers in a row to tie the score at 49-49, and with scores from Moon Jeong-hyun and Heo Hoon, the third quarter ended with a 57-54 lead.

KT was in trouble as Heo Hoon was ejected for 5 fouls with 5 minutes and 8 seconds left in the final 4th quarter. However, Moon Jeong-hyun scored a 3-pointer at 8 minutes and 2 seconds, giving KT a 75-65 lead. After that, no goals were scored and the game ended with KT’s victory.

Paris Bass led the team to victory with 40 points and 13 rebounds, and Moon Jung-hyun also contributed to the attack with 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists.

KT will play the first game of the 2023-2024 Jeong Kwan-Jang Professional Basketball Championship against Busan KCC Aegis at Suwon KT Sonic Boom Arena on the 27th.
