Blizzard suddenly canceled this year’s BlizzCon, its gaming event. Instead, participate in other events or host e-sports events.

Instead of canceling BlizzCon, Blizzard announced that it would participate in other events. Blizzard said, “This year, we want to approach things a little differently. “We have held events in a unique format in the past,” he said, revealing plans to participate in future events.

Blizzard’s decision appears to have been influenced by Microsoft’s acquisition and the evaluation of BlizzCon held last year. BlizzCon was held until 2019, but was not held for three years due to the impact of COVID-19, and was held at the Anaheim Convention Center in 2023 for the first time in four years.

However, at this event, only expansion content for existing games was revealed, and there were no new games or surprise news, so it did not receive good reviews overall.
