Hundreds of protesters have been arrested by police as protests against American pro-Israel policies intensify on American university campuses.

At university campuses across the United States, police increased the level of suppression to forcibly disperse the protesters, and students fiercely resisted, resulting in physical fights and scuffles between the two sides.

According to the Boston Police Department, from the night of the 24th to the early morning of the 25th local time, 108 protesters were arrested by the police at Emerson University in Boston, and four police officers were injured while the students resisted.

Emerson University canceled all classes that day.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), 93 protesters were arrested at the University of Southern California on the 24th local time.

Fortunately, the police reported that no one was injured during the arrest at the university.

Additionally, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced that as of 9 p.m. on the 24th local time, 34 people were arrested in connection with the protests at the University of Texas at Austin campus.

Immediately after the protest began, a large number of Texas State Police, including cavalry units and batons, arrived on this campus and forcibly dispersed the students. Physical force was also used in the process.

After the police left, about 300 protesters at the University of Texas sat on the lawn and chanted slogans in protest against the police and the school.

In Washington, D.C., the capital and political center of the United States, pro-Palestinian protests began in earnest and a tent sit-in protest began on campus.

According to the Washington Post, about 30 protest tents were set up in the center of the George Washington University campus on the morning of the 25th local time.

About 50 demonstrators also demonstrated on the streets outside the campus, holding signs and shouting slogans that read, “End the occupation of Gaza right now.”

At Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., about 100 protesters gathered on the steps of Healy Hall on campus and chanted the slogan “Freedom for Palestine,” before moving to George Washington University and joining the university’s protesters.

George Washington University’s president said he had requested police help to remove the tents, saying the protesters “unlike some past protests were using university space without permission and violating several university policies.”

Princeton University in New Jersey also announced that two graduate students were arrested on trespassing charges while setting up a sit-in tent, and although the tent was dismantled, protests are said to be continuing.
