A British herbalist is making headlines by revealing a McDonald’s hamburger that had been stored for a year.

According to Newsis on the 25th, the US media ‘NewYorkPost’ reported an article on the 22nd (local time) titled ‘McDonald’s Big Mac left unattended for over a year and the results are unbelievable.’

Naa Adjeley Tsofanye, a British medical herbalist, revealed a Big Mac that had been stored for over a year through the social media TikTok, saying, “I can’t believe the Big Mac has survived the test for a year.”

The Big Mac in the video looks like new, with the lush green lettuce and soft bread intact and no mold growing.

Chopani began an experiment in February last year by placing a Big Mac on a plate and seeing how its condition changed over time.

In the video, Chopani inspects the Big Mac wearing latex gloves and says, “There is no sign of mold. As you can see, the lettuce is still green.”

By rubbing the lettuce, he also showed how much moisture was still left in the vegetable. “Do you see the shine on the gloves?” he said. “There is still moisture left in them. They are not completely dry.”

Chopani also said, “We will monitor the Big Mac’s lettuce to determine whether the reason the green color does not change over time is due to the characteristics of the plant or the environment of the hamburger.”

As of today, this video has exceeded 3 million views.

A British netizen who watched the video asked, “How is it possible for lettuce, which has no roots, is not watered, and is not exposed to sunlight, to maintain that color?” Other netizens were surprised, leaving comments such as “This is a Big Mac that even bacteria can’t eat,” “The lettuce in my refrigerator turned brown after two days,” and “The hamburger I ate in 1995 may not have been digested yet.”
