Professor Kim Hee-jin of the Department of Neurology at Hanyang University Hospital published a book titled ‘The Secret of Slow Aging Memory’, which contains amazing secrets for a brain that is 30 years younger than its physical age.

This book is written by Professor Kim Hee-jin, recognized as Korea’s top dementia specialist, who has been consulting with patients who have visited the hospital for over 20 years, pondering deeply what is needed for ‘brain health’, and sharing the daily ‘health’ benefits that have been achieved through the long marathon of treatment. We have carefully selected and included ‘Code of Practice’. Using these brain management methods, we also present the optimal 1:1 customized guide to manage and practice nutrition, exercise, social connection, sleep, and stress according to each person’s life.

Regarding the publication of this book, Professor Kim Hee-jin said, “I observed countless times how patients suffering from neglect of brain care became healthy and those who did not, and confirmed that just routineizing healthy brain habits is enough to improve the brain. “If you make a habit of the behavioral guidelines that suit you among the seven habits to become a Super Ager, you can maintain a healthy brain by practicing just a few of these,” he said.

In this book, which consists of 2 parts and a total of 300 pages, Part 1 ‘Understanding’, Chapter 1 ‘The meaning of ‘the brain aging’ that we did not know’, Chapter 2 ‘How does the brain move and function’, and Chapter 3 ‘How does our body function?’ Under the theme of ‘Aging changes that occur’ and Chapter 4, ‘The three major diseases that accelerate aging’, the understanding of the brain and the aging of the brain and our body are explained through several examples.

Dealing with the Mental’, Chapter 11 ‘Five, Sleep Habits to Cleanse the Brain: Let’s Get Some Sleep’, Chapter 12 ‘Six, Rest Habits: How to Get Out of Chronic Fatigue’, Chapter 13 ‘Seven, If You Have a Brain Problem : Under the theme of ‘treating smartly, taking medicine wisely’, we have divided the essential lifestyle habits for managing daily life into 7 types and organized practical methods that anyone can easily follow. In addition, the 1:1 customized solution ‘30-day brain change project to change your life’ is included as an appendix.

Professor Kim Hee-jin, who is currently conducting various research and treatment in the field of dementia and cognitive function at the Department of Neurology at Hanyang University Hospital, has also served as the director of the Seongdong-gu Dementia Relief Center, which provides integrated management of cognitive dysfunction and dementia patients in Seongdong-gu since 2023. Professor Kim graduated from Ewha Womans University School of Medicine, received master’s and doctoral degrees from the same graduate school, and served as an exchange professor at New York University’s Brain Health Center. He is active as an educational secretary, public relations secretary, and non-executive director of the Korean Dementia Society, an academic committee member of the Korean Neurological Society, and a regular member of the Korean Stroke Society and the International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Treatment. He has received the Korean Dementia Society’s Best Paper Award, the Best Poster Presentation Award, and Eisai. He has received academic awards and other awards.
