Lee Na-young for 24 years and Won Bin for 16 years are long-lived coffee models… I leave when I applaud

Dongseo Foods recently terminated its contract with actors Lee Na-young and Won Bin, who have been active as flagship models.

According to Dongsuh Food on the 26th, Park Bo-young was selected as the new model for ‘Maxim Mocha Gold’. Park Bo-young, who signed her contract last month, is understood to be planning to work as a model for a year before deciding whether to renew her contract.

Maxim Mocha Gold has been in a relationship for 24 years since it first introduced Lee Na-young as its model in 2000.

While working as a long-running model, the formula ‘Maxim Coffee Mix = Lee Na-young’ was engraved in the public’s minds, but there were also opinions that the promotional effect was somewhat lacking for the younger generation.

Accordingly, Dongseo Foods has attempted changes such as adding Hwang Jung-min, IU, and Ahn Jae-hong to its model lineup in 2018, and temporarily selecting actress Park Ha-seon in 2021. This time, the model was suddenly replaced.

Coincidentally, another long-running model, actor Won Bin, also had his contract terminated one after another. Lee Na-young’s husband and actor Won Bin has been working as a Maxim TOP advertising model for about 16 years since 2008. It was confirmed that the contract ended at the end of January.

An official from Dongseo Foods said, “In the case of Mocha Gold, it was considered that the target age group could be expanded to the younger generation in their 20s and 30s by featuring Park Bo-young, who has a cute image.” He added, “TOP has not yet decided on a successor model, and a new advertisement has not been decided. “Summer is the peak season, so we are still in the planning stage,” he said.

Regarding the timing of Won Bin and Lee Na-young’s departure, he added, “Although both of them have continued as long-running models, they have renewed their contracts every year,” adding, “This time, by chance, their contract end times coincided at the same time.”
