Jeollanam-do announced that it was selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s ‘e-mobility export activation joint production-based enterprise support’ project and will build a parts production base for local companies to enter the Southeast Asian market.

Accordingly, a total project cost of 4 billion won, including national funds, will be invested in the Yeonggwang Hemp Industrial Complex to build medium to large-sized facility equipment that will support the processing of automobile interior and exterior materials and frame parts, including ▲universal jigs for welding ▲robot welders ▲flat-type laser processing machines ▲bending machines.

Jeonnam Province, which was selected for the ‘Ultra-small e-mobility parts pilot production support base construction project’ in 2021 and has a parts production system for small and medium-sized enterprises, will further expand infrastructure in the mobility field through this contest and help local companies localize parts and reduce production costs. We plan to actively support this.

Recently, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced a plan to strengthen the competitiveness of small e-mobility in overseas expansion through the 4th public-private joint export expansion plan meeting in order to intensively foster small e-mobility and dominate the fast-growing new e-mobility market in Southeast Asia. did. The Korea Smart E-Mobility Association also predicts that domestic small e-mobility companies will achieve overseas exports of $50 million and exports of more than 40,000 units by 2024.

Accordingly, along with the selection through the public contest, Jeonnam Province is promoting various policies such as ▲dispatch of the 2024 Mobility Overseas Market Pioneer Team ▲attraction of e-mobility global innovation special zone ▲Official Development Assistance (ODA) project centered on local companies to help local companies enter the Southeast Asian market.
