Boseong-gun, won the grand prize at the ‘Korea Prestigious Luxury Goods Awards’ for 10 consecutive years

[서울파이낸스 (보성) 이현수 기자] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 24th that Boseong Green Tea won the grand prize in the local luxury brand category at the ‘2024 Korea Prestigious Luxury Awards’ for the 10th consecutive year.

At the awards ceremony held at the Korea Press Center in Seoul on the 23rd, hosted by the Korea Consumers Association, Boseong Green Tea was recognized as a regional specialty representing Korea and for its significant contribution to regional development.

The Korea Prestigious Luxury Goods Awards are selected through expert management performance evaluations and consumer brand awareness surveys regarding the strategy, system, and management of each brand for products that represent Korea, lead the market, and have built a reputation.

Boseong County Mayor Kim Cheol-woo said, “This year, we exported 6,000 units of three types of blended teas to Singapore and 1.8 tons of powdered green tea to Ireland.” He added, “Boseong green tea, which has been recognized as a famous luxury product for 10 years, is representing not only Korea but the whole world.” “We will become competitive in overseas markets so that we can establish ourselves as a renowned luxury product.”

Meanwhile, Boseong-gun will hold the Boseong Dahyang Grand Festival for five days from May 3 to 7 under the theme of ‘The Temptation of Thousand Years of Tea, Boseong’s Proposal’, as well as Boseong County Citizens’ Day, Seopyeonje Boseongsori Festival, Illimsan Azalea Cultural Event, It is planned to be a grand festival incorporating Children’s Day, the Green Tea Marathon, the National Yacht Competition’s daily concert, and a drone light show.
