Chilgok-gun announced that it would conduct a ‘Korea Safety Conversion Intensive Safety Inspection’ for facilities that are at risk of disaster or accident for 61 days from April 22nd to June 21st.

This inspection, which is conducted to discover and eliminate risk factors in advance, mainly targets 89 private multi-use facilities used by an unspecified number of people, including medical institutions, landslide risk areas, and youth training facilities.

In order to ensure substantial and reliable inspections, the military will form a public-private joint inspection team in which experts in fields such as electricity, gas, and firefighting participate, and conduct inspections together with public officials from related departments and private experts.

As a result of the safety inspection, minor issues will be immediately corrected on site, and for facilities where risk factors such as major defects are found, safety measures such as use restrictions will be implemented first, followed by follow-up measures such as detailed safety diagnosis and repair/reinforcement.

Kim Jae-wook, mayor of Chilgok County, said, “During this intensive safety inspection period, we will do our best to eliminate risk factors in advance through joint inspections,” and added, “I hope that county residents will also actively participate in spreading safety culture and preventing accidents.”
