Organizing programs such as field trips to fish farms

Gyeonggi-do Marine Fisheries Resources Research Institute is recruiting trainees for ‘field training type inland water aquaculture basic training’ from the 24th to May 3rd.

The training consists of a total of three courses for ornamental fish, mandarin fish, and loach, each consisting of basic theory, practical training such as seed (young fish) production of aquaculture species, and field trips to fish farms.

The training target is 15 people, including those who wish to start an inland fish farm, and a maximum of 5 trainees are planned to be recruited for each course. This training will be held for three days each in May for ornamental fish and in June for mandarin fish and loach.

Those wishing to receive training can check the recruitment notice on the website of the Gyeonggi Marine Fisheries Resources Research Institute, fill out the application form, and visit (23-2 Sanggwang-gil, Yongmun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun), mail (23-2 Sanggwang-gil, Yongmun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do), or e-mail. Please submit by May 3rd.

The research institute plans to select trainees among those who wish to receive training, taking into account completion of aquaculture-related training, concrete business plan, and presence of infrastructure, and will notify them individually on May 7.

Training is free, and trainees will be issued a training certificate. If you have any questions, please contact the Gyeonggi Provincial Marine and Fishery Resources Research Institute’s Inland Water Research Team.

Kim Seong-gon, director of the Marine Fisheries Resources Research Institute, said, “The field-based inland water aquaculture basic training is customized education consisting of contents essential in the aquaculture field,” and added, “I hope that through this training, trainees will lay the foundation for starting an inland water fish farm.”
