Starbucks Korea announced on the 24th that it opened its 14th Starbucks talent donation cafe, ‘Cafe Byulmuri’, at the Chungcheongnam-do Job Economic Promotion Agency in Yesan-gun, South Chungcheong Province.

The Starbucks Talent Donation Café is a social contribution program that goes beyond one-time donations and enables mutual growth with the local community by sharing Starbucks’ unique expertise and know-how. Starbucks supports the establishment or refurbishment of cafes in old cafes of community organizations where youth, the elderly, the disabled, multicultural families, the disabled, and vulnerable women work, and provides barista training and store operation know-how. there is.

Cafe Byulmuri means Starbucks (star) and baristas of various generations (muri). We provide opportunities for young people, seniors, and experienced women from vulnerable groups in the community who dream of a new beginning to work as baristas.

Starbucks supported all related costs, including interior design, by providing a conference space to conduct training for job creation inside the 14th branch of this talent donation cafe. Together with our partners, we carried out talent donation activities to utilize each other’s capabilities in each other’s areas of expertise.

Kwak Ye-jin, a young barista who works at Cafe Byeolmuri, said, “It is meaningful to be able to work with people from various generations through the Starbucks Talent Donation Cafe.” She added, “I will continue to work with a happy heart and spread the word about the significance of Cafe Byeolmuri.” He expressed his thoughts.

Meanwhile, Shin Dong-woo, head of Starbucks Korea’s Strategic Planning Division, 22nd National Assembly member-elect Kang Seung-gyu (Chungnam Hongseong and Yesan), Chungcheongnam-do Governor Kim Ki-young, Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Council Welfare and Environment Committee Chairman Kim Eung-gyu, and Chungcheongnam-do Job Economic Promotion Agency Director Kim Chan-bae attended the ceremony. Baristas working at the talent donation cafe and Starbucks partners attended to celebrate the opening of the 14th talent donation cafe.
