An expo where you can experience Korea’s representative festivals in one place will be held in Busan.
The ‘4th Korea Representative Festival Expo’, hosted by the Korea Local Newspaper Association and organized by the Korea Exhibition Industry Institute, will be held at BEXCO in Busan from the 26th to the 28th. This three-day expo is held under the theme of ‘Korea becoming one through festivals.’
Korea’s representative festival fair was held for the first time in 2021 and marks its 4th anniversary this year. We are focusing on developing the festival into an independent industry beyond the existing promotion-focused expo and laying the foundation for further development of the local economy and industry through the festival. About 50,000 visitors visited the 3rd Korea Representative Festival Expo held last year.
116 companies, including city and local governments and companies, will participate in this event, and a total of 283 booths will be set up. On the first day of the local festival fair, an opening ceremony will be held along with events to promote and participate in the festivals of each city and county. The exhibition event consists of a representative festival promotion hall that promotes festivals in cities, counties and districts across the country, a tourism industry hall that sells local festival souvenirs and promotes the travel industry, and an experience hall where you can experience local festivals. At the experience center, you can enjoy traditional culture experience, DIY making experience, and job experience.
A ‘B2B-Day’ buyer consultation session will also be held to promote mutual exchange between each local government and festival-related companies. In particular, influencers such as YouTubers are scheduled to participate in this buyer consultation to promote the local festival. On the second day of the event, the 27th, the Korea Best Festival Award and the regional mascot award ceremony will be held. On the last day, the 28th, the three-day schedule will conclude with the Supporters Awards Ceremony. A variety of attractions and activities for visitors to enjoy have also been prepared. A special performance by the girl group H1-KEY is being prepared on the 26th, and a children’s character performance of ‘Carrie and Friends’ will be held for family visitors on the 27th.
