With ‘The Gyeonggi Pass’ project set to be implemented on the 1st of next month, Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon began promoting it by directly demonstrating the procedures, such as applying for a card to use ‘The Gyeonggi Pass’.

On the 24th, Governor Kim accessed the card company app on his smartphone at the provincial office in the office and applied for The Gyeonggi Pass exclusive card, saying, “The long-awaited application for The Gyeonggi Pass has begun. “I went to work today and applied for the card first before doing anything else,” he said. “I hope that many residents of the province will also apply for the Gyeonggi Pass and enjoy the many benefits.”

The Gyeonggi Pass expands the K-Pass limit of 60 trips per month to unlimited, and provides a refund of 20% of public transportation costs every month (30% for young people in their 20s and 30s, 20% for those in their 40s or older, and 53% for low-income people).

It includes all public transportation methods nationwide, including expensive public transportation methods such as metropolitan buses, the Shinbundang Line, and the Metropolitan Rapid Transit (GTX), which opened in March of this year. Another advantage is that since it is a refund method, you do not need to recharge every month once you register for the first time. However, you cannot receive a refund for transportation that requires a separate ticket, such as express buses or KTX.

Residents wishing to use the Gyeonggi Pass can visit the K-Pass website or use each credit card company (Shinhan, KB Kookmin, NH Nonghyup, Woori, Hana, Samsung, Hyundai, BC, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, Gwangju Bank, K Bank, Joy of Idong, DGB Yu). After receiving a K-Pass exclusive card (credit/check card) through the Pay) website, you can sign up for membership on the K-Pass website starting May 1.

Starting today, card applications will automatically go through an address verification process when you sign up for membership, and once you are confirmed to be a Gyeonggi resident, the Gyeonggi Pass benefits will be automatically applied.
