“Make memories on Children’s Day at the Provincial Museum”… 7 museums belonging to the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, Children’s Day events are ‘plentiful’

From May 4th to 6th… . Children’s ‘feast’ taking advantage of each museum’s characteristics is held

The Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation announced on the 24th that to celebrate Children’s Day in May, it will hold a variety of Children’s Day events at seven provincial museums affiliated with the foundation.

Gyeonggi Provincial Museum (Yongin), Nam June Paik Art Center (Yongin), Gyeonggi Provincial Children’s Museum (Yongin), Gyeonggi Provincial Museum of Art (Ansan), Silhak Museum (Namyangju), Gyeonggi Northern Children’s Museum (Dongducheon), and Jeongok Prehistory Museum (Yeoncheon) open on May 4. We have prepared a variety of programs for children and families to participate in for three days from the 1st to the 6th.

Specifically, the Museum Park located in Yongin operates ‘I view exhibitions with MBTI!’ as a joint operation program of the Gyeonggi Provincial Museum and Nam June Paik Art Center. After visiting the exhibitions and following the activities of the three institutions, you can participate in stamping and receive a souvenir.

In celebration of Children’s Day, the Gyeonggi Provincial Museum conducts education and experiences at various locations throughout the Gyeonggi Provincial Museum under the theme of ‘Noisy Museum Picnic’, and you can experience 7 programs at the Nam June Paik Art Center.

At the Gyeonggi Children’s Museum, you can experience a variety of cultural and artistic programs and the joy of exploring and expressing your senses through the Children’s Day event ‘Wiggle, writhe, your whole body is in full bloom!’

If you visit the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, you can participate in two special programs for children and family visitors.

2024 Children’s Day Special Program ‘Whisper Whisper Osundosun’ There is even a program where you can sympathize and talk with children and participate directly as a host of the program.

The Museum of Silhak will be holding an experience program themed on the sea and marine life in connection with the special exhibition ‘Jasan Fish Rewritten in Pictures’, a modern reinterpretation of the exhibition opening on the 30th.

The seven programs held in the experience and play areas are diverse, including crafting, folk play experience, and face painting.

If you visit the Gyeonggi Northern Children’s Museum, you can see the special exhibition ‘Forest, I Want’, which opens on May 4th, and experience various programs organized under four themes (music, color, nature, and fun).

Jeongok Prehistory Museum runs a Children’s Day event, ‘Prehistoric Naughty Day’. Four programs are prepared in conjunction with the children’s experience program ‘Old.U.K. University – 2nd Paleolithic Athletics Competition’ and the special exhibition ‘Meat’.

An official from the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation said, “Through this event, children and families are expected to have a fun time and be able to experience various cultural experiences.”
