Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 24th that it held the opening ceremony of the ’21st International Green Energy Expo’ at EXCO in Daegu, where the latest trends in new and renewable energy at home and abroad can be seen in one place.

The opening ceremony was attended by about 150 people, including the province, Daegu City, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, related organizations, organizations, and companies, and was held in the following order: welcome speech, congratulatory speech, opening performance, and exhibition hall facility tour.

The International Green Energy Expo, which celebrates its 21st anniversary this year, is co-hosted by Gyeongbuk Province and Daegu City and organized by four major associations in the field of new and renewable energy, including Exco, Korea Renewable Energy Association, Korea Photovoltaic Industry Association, Korea Wind Energy Industry Association, and Korea Hydrogen Industry Association. It is Korea’s only and largest exhibition specializing in new and renewable energy, co-hosted by , and will run for three days until the 26th.

This event was held under the theme of ‘Beyond Green Energy’ and 330 companies from 25 countries participated and operated 1,100 booths, exhibiting solar modules, inverters, energy storage systems, batteries, smart grids, fuel cells, etc. exhibits.

In particular, this year, domestic leading companies in the renewable energy field such as HD Hyundai Energy Solutions, Shinsung ENG, Hansol Technics, Isolar Energy, Grand Sun, SDN, and OCI Power Co., Ltd., as well as Hanwha Q CELLS, JA Solar, Longi Solar, and Zinko Solar. A large number of the world’s top 10 companies in the solar cell module and inverter fields, including , Sungrow, Huawei, and Growatt, will participate and showcase innovative technologies and new products.

In addition to the exhibition, overseas buyers from over 80 companies from 23 countries will participate online and offline to provide export consultations to promote exports of domestic companies and develop overseas markets.

In addition, various side events will be held, such as refresher training for public officials in charge of supplying new and renewable energy nationwide, and a ‘Green Energy Networking’ event for information sharing and human exchange between participating companies at home and abroad.

In addition, Korea’s only ‘International Future Energy Conference’ covering solar power and hydrogen market trends will be held during the event.

About 60 domestic and foreign experts from 12 countries will gather in one place to discuss global market trends and strategies, and share various cases and opinions necessary for establishing new and renewable energy policies and strategies.
