Hwang Young-jin (Geunnam-myeon, 64 years old) won the special prize in the calligraphy section of the 43rd Korea Art Contest and was qualified as an invited artist. Artist Hwang submitted Woo Tak’s Yeonghoru (映胡樓) as a courtesy calligraphy in this art contest.

To qualify as an invited artist for the calligraphy section of the Korea Art Competition, you must win a prize at the art competition held every year. The winning work (the score is determined by the steering committee every year) will be eligible to be invited as an invited writer if it receives a total of 10 points or more, including 1 point for the selection, 3 points for the special selection, 4 points for the excellence award, and 7 points for the grand prize.
