The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Council (Chairman Kwon Hyeok-yeol) chairman is scheduled to visit the Gangwon Free Economic Zone Authority on the 25th.
During this visit, we plan to receive reports on major business implementation plans for 2024 and put our heads together to resolve pending issues.
Since last March, the chairpersons have visited 12 places, including donors and donor organizations and direct organizations under the Office of Education, and this is their fifth visit, and they plan to continue strengthening legislative activities centered on the field.
In particular, this visit will focus on inspecting Mangsang District 1, which is having difficulty selecting an alternative development project operator due to the spread of false information. In Mangsang District 1, in the process of conducting a public offering for a project operator, an unidentified organization posted false information through illegal banners and repeatedly filed and withdrew complaints to investigative agencies. Gangwon Metropolitan Police Agency has requested an investigation from the police. .
Chairman Kwon Hyeok-yeol said, “It has been 10 years since the Gangwon Free Economic Zone was designated, but there have been many ups and downs such as conflicts with local residents, cancellation of business designation, and administrative errors,” and added, “We will resolve the currently controversial Mangsang District issue as soon as possible.” “We plan to seek various support measures at the congressional level through this visit to resolve the issue,” he said.
