The Republic of Korea National Award is an event commemorating the death anniversary of Ahn Jung-geun and discovering and reflecting on the contributions of those who have devoted themselves to the country and society, contributing to the development of the Republic of Korea in various fields such as politics, economy, society, culture, and sports. It is a meaningful event that selects a domestic opinion leader and provides scholarships every year to rising talents in Korea.

On the afternoon of April 19, the Ahn Jung-geun Culture and Arts Association successfully concluded the ’11th Korean National Awards Ceremony’ and the ‘Ahn Jung-geun Scholarship Award Ceremony’ at the ‘Dr. Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall’ in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu.

This award ceremony, which marks its 11th anniversary this year, was attended by approximately 200 people, including the awardees’ families and acquaintances, and took the time to reflect on the life of Ahn Jung-geun and his spirit of love for the country.

In particular, actress Kim So-rin won the grand prize in the talent category in recognition of her contribution and influence in the TV and film actor category.

Kim So-rin participated in this awards ceremony as an actor due to her performance in DMZ Daeseong-dong, which aired in March 2023. In addition, she is recognized for her acting skills by appearing in various works such as ‘Vampire Detective’ and ‘Spring of the Moon’.
