Kim Dong-yeon and Party Secretary Hao Feng also treated ‘Chicken and Mac’… their favorite ‘Bianca Noodles’

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon met with Party Secretary Hao Feng of China’s Liaoning Province and promised to strengthen cooperation between the two regions. After the official schedule ended, the two attracted attention by drinking chicken and beer until late at Suwon Fried Chicken Street.

According to Gyeonggi Province on the 25th, the day before, Governor Kim met with Party Secretary Hao Peng at Dodamso (former provincial governor’s official residence) and signed an agreement to deepen exchange and cooperation between Gyeonggi Province and Liaoning Province.

This meeting was held six months after Governor Kim visited Liaoning Province in October last year and met Party Secretary Hao Peng. Gyeonggi Province officially invited Party Secretary Hao Feng.

After the signing ceremony, Governor Kim and Party Secretary Hao Peng walked along Banghwasuryujeong and had dinner together. Party Secretary Hao Feng served kalguksu, her favorite food, during Governor Kim’s visit last year. Governor Kim responded by serving Party Secretary Hao Peng’s favorite food, ‘Bianca Noodles’ that day.

After the official schedule ended, the two spent time until late at night eating chicken and beer at Suwon Fried Chicken Street. When Governor Kim visited Liaoning Province last year, he made a promise to “let’s meet with the tie removed,” and he kept it.

It is said that the two people formed a consensus during the ‘chicken and beer’ event by sharing that ‘the difficulties I experienced as a child became a great asset in my public life.’

Governor Kim, whose father passed away when he was young, lived in such poverty that he had to worry about his own meals. Party Secretary Hao Feng is also known to have had poor circumstances as he was raised by his father, a single parent with six children.

Governor Kim said at the event, “There are many good places in Suwon, such as luxury hotels, but the reason we brought them to Chicken and Beer Street was to show the lives of ordinary people. I am glad that the secretary likes this space and atmosphere.”

Party Secretary Hao Feng said, “Chicken and beer was the most satisfying part of this business trip. “I really like street food and atmosphere like food stalls, but it was difficult to have time for that in Liaoning Province because I was well-known as the party secretary,” he said, adding, “I get on really well with Governor Kim.”

Meanwhile, in the agreement signed the previous day, Governor Kim and Party Secretary Hao Peng signed the ‘Gyeonggi Province-Liaoning’ agreement, which included improving the corporate business environment, expanding investment and corporate cooperation, and strengthening exchanges and cooperation between companies and institutions in industries such as manufacturing, science and technology innovation, and modern agriculture. An agreement to deepen gender exchange and cooperation was signed.

An agricultural science and technology exchange agreement and a university exchange agreement were also reached.

Seong Je-hoon, director of the Gyeonggi Provincial Agricultural Research and Extension Services, and Sui Guomin, director of the Liaoning Provincial Agricultural Research Institute, decided to expand the exchange of cultivation and pest control technologies for crops such as ginseng and soybeans, joint research on agricultural product and soil safety, and information and human exchange between the two organizations.

Lim Gyeong-sook, president of Suwon University, and Zhao Hengxin, secretary of Shenyang University of Music, decided to promote human exchanges between students and faculty, musical arts performances, and academic exchanges between the two schools.

Party Secretary Hao Peng officially invited Governor Kim to the Summer Davos Forum scheduled to be held in Dalian, Liaoning Province, in June and the Liaoning Province Trade and Investment Expo in September.
