Lee Hee-yeol, head of the provincial planning and coordination office, said, “We will continue to expand the participation of provincial residents in the budget preparation process and take the lead in efficient resource distribution and the realization of financial democracy.”

◆ Support for preliminary testing of pesticide residues and heavy metals to ensure the safety of regional representative agricultural products

In order to ensure the safety of representative regional agricultural products produced in the province, the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Health and Environment Research Institute, through collaboration with the provincial health and food safety department and city/county sanitation departments, conducts research on agricultural products such as agricultural products from local festivals and agricultural products registered with geographical indications from April to November.
