Sunchang-gun, Jeollabuk-do, announced on the 25th that it plans to encourage resident participation led by County Governor Choi Young-il and Deputy Governor Kim Young-sik during the intensive safety inspection period of the ‘Great Safety Transformation of the Republic of Korea’.

To this end, on the 24th, Deputy Governor Kim Young-sik organized private experts in the fields of firefighting, architecture, electricity, and civil engineering and conducted safety inspections at three senior citizen group living homes in the district.

The inspection on this day was a safety management inspection of a nursing facility where elderly people with limited mobility live together, and the accuracy, reliability, and expertise of the safety inspection were improved by using specialized inspection equipment to check the deterioration of the building, firefighting facilities, and electrical safety.

In parallel, the military is promoting self-inspection by producing and distributing 6,000 copies of safety checklists to multi-use facilities and households, and broadcasting promotional videos and uploading them to SNS channels at 54 LED monitors in apartments and terminals and disaster safety promotional electronic boards. The importance of safety inspections is being promoted through village broadcasting.

Deputy Governor Kim Young-sik said, “We ask for your active participation so that safety can become a daily routine and part of our daily life through activities such as reporting risk factors in daily life and self-inspecting each person’s home through intensive safety inspections and safety inspection promotional activities in 2024.” .
