The opening ceremony of the 2024 National Life Sports Festival, in which Gyeonggi-do challenges to win the most events for the 21st consecutive time, was held at Ulsan Sports Complex on the afternoon of the 26th.

The opening ceremony was held in the following order: opening announcement, entrance of city and city club athletes, opening declaration, club pledges, and theme performance. A drone show and a solo concert by singer Nam Jin were held.

The province has a total of 1,994 athletes (1,601 players and 393 executives) participating in 41 official sports, including soccer, badminton, and gateball, and is attempting to win the most sports for the 21st consecutive time and win the performance award for the 10th consecutive time.

The 2020 and 2021 Sports Festival was not held in the aftermath of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), and in 2022, it was held as a competition for each event without a venue and no comprehensive awards were given.

Accordingly, last year, when the province was held normally for the first time in four years, it won the most events 20 times in a row since the first competition held in Jeju in 2001, and received the Performance Award, which is given to the city that won the most events, nine times in a row since the first year of its establishment.

Prior to the opening ceremony, the competition began on the 25th and will end with a closing ceremony at the Ulsan Innovation City Complex Innovation Center on the afternoon of the 28th.
