San Diego Padres infielder Kim Ha-seong had a multi-hit game for two consecutive days with a timely hit in the final with two RBIs.

Ha-seong Kim played as the 5th hitter and shortstop in the away game against the Colorado Rockies held at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, USA on the 25th (Korean time) and recorded 2 hits and 2 RBIs in 4 at-bats.

With this day’s hit, Ha-seong Kim’s batting average rose to 0.240 (23 hits in 96 at-bats). His RBI total was 15, putting him first in RBIs among the Padres. Jake Cronenworth, Jurickson Profar, and Fernando Tatis Jr. each have 15 RBIs.

Ha-seong Kim swept up hits and RBI from his first at-bat. He scored the first run in the top of the first inning, hitting a two-run double that hit the right line with one out and the bases loaded. He lowered his upper body and sensuously hit the falling changeup, creating a hit. Afterwards, Ha-Seong Kim scored when the follow-up batter hit a heavy, timely hit.

Kim Ha-seong, who was retired by a fly ball to right field in the third inning, created a multi-hit game with a surprise bunt hit in his third at-bat with first base without an out in the top of the sixth inning, leading 4-0. Afterwards, he landed on second base with a bad throw from the Colorado third baseman to first base, creating a scoring opportunity. San Diego scored an additional point with Jackson Merrill’s grounder on second and third base with no outs.

Ha-Seong Kim recorded multiple hits for two consecutive days following the previous day (24th), increasing the number of multiple hit games to 5.

Ha-Seong Kim was also excellent in defense. Ha-seong Kim erased a run in the 4th inning by blocking Elias Diaz’s ball flowing toward left field at 1st and 2nd bases with one out. It was an infield hit, but no additional bases were advanced due to Kim Ha-seong’s poor performance. Afterwards, San Diego faced a crisis with the bases loaded, but starting pitcher Matt Waldron threw out two batters and finished the inning without allowing a run.

Thanks to Kim Ha-seong’s outstanding performance in offense and defense, San Diego defeated Colorado 5-2.
