[디지털투데이 AI리포터] The launch date of American aerospace company Boeing’s manned spacecraft ‘Starliner’ was announced on the 25th (local time), IT media Tech Crunch reported.
NASA and Boeing announced that the first manned Starliner mission will be launched on May 6, when Starliner will transport two astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).
On this day, astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams will board the Starliner and head to space aboard the United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V rocket.
In about 24 hours, the two astronauts will arrive at the ISS and will remain there for about a week. The Starliner remains docked with the station.
This is Starliner’s second flight to the ISS, and the first unmanned mission took place in May 2022. If the launch date cannot be met on May 6th, there will be additional launch opportunities on May 7th, 10th, and 11th.
