For the first time in its 25-year history, ‘Gag Concert’ is changing the audience rating of its Children’s Day special broadcast to ‘All Audience’. ‘Gag Concert’ will be decorating its broadcast on May 5th with a Children’s Day special. In particular, for this day, there are plans to lower the broadcast viewership rating from those aged 15 and older to ‘all audiences’ and to turn it into a ‘gag concert’ that everyone from children to adults can watch together. This is the first time this has happened since ‘Gag Concert’ was broadcast in 1999.

The reason why ‘Gag Concert’ made this choice was because of a letter from a child viewer. A letter from a child who said that his favorite character, Strange (Shin Yun-seung) from ‘Bongsunga School’, was his favorite, said that he wanted to go to the ‘Gag Concert’ recording site, but “I heard the shocking news that only those over 15 years old are allowed to enter,” and “If you don’t allow the child to see it, you will be punished.” It contained the bold message, “The ‘Gag Concert’ may not last long.” What particularly moved the production team was the statement, “If you invite me to the recording, I would like to tell ‘Grandma Malja’ about my concerns.” The production team said, “We thought that child viewers would not like a segment like ‘Badians’, but it was impressive that they wanted to receive counseling for their concerns from ‘Grandma Malja’.” They added, “Even if we change the viewing rating for one day on Children’s Day, we will provide counseling for children’s concerns. “I wanted to,” he said. Currently, there are many aspects that require attention in broadcast review even for audiences aged 15 and older, but changing the viewing rating to ‘all audiences’ is a challenging attempt for both the ‘Gag Concert’ production team and cast. However, the ‘Gag Concert’ side said, “If the whole family can enjoy ‘Gag Concert’ while laughing comfortably through this attempt, it will be very rewarding.”

The recording of the ‘Gag Concert’ Children’s Day special will be held on May 1. According to the production team, approximately 500 children are expected to attend. The recording start time was also advanced from 7 PM to 6 PM in consideration of children in the audience. The production team of ‘Gag Concert’ said, “As we adjusted the viewing rating to ‘All Audience’, there are many corners that cannot be put on stage, such as ‘The World They Live In’. He also said, “I think we will have to lower the level of ‘How about Defcon’ than usual,” and added, “But we are working hard to prepare so that it can still be fun.” He added, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the child fans who love ‘Gag Concert.’ “We will do our best to speed up the broadcast time so that you can watch ‘Gag Concert’ comfortably,” he added. ‘Gag Concert’ airs every Sunday at 10:35 PM.
