A commotion occurred as several British Guard cavalry horses galloped through central London during rush hour. As a result, four people, including a soldier, were injured and horses were also injured.

According to the BBC and the Guardian on the 24th (local time), the horses’ galloping through the city took place this morning while six soldiers were training under the control of seven horses in Belgravia between Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace.

At the time, the military horses that were training were startled by a loud noise from a nearby construction site, and four cavalrymen fell from their horses. Afterwards, the five horses ran away from the training site and ran down the city streets.

Emergency medical authorities said the incident occurred for about 10 minutes starting around 8:25 a.m.

The horses that ran away galloped along the road in front of Buckingham Palace in Victoria and around Oldwich and Tower Bridge.

As the horses lunged at cars on the street, some hit vehicles such as taxis and double-decker buses. The double-decker bus that hit the horse was damaged, including a severely broken windshield.

A video was posted on social media showing a horse that was injured in the process running with its entire body covered in blood.

Roland, who witnessed this, said, “I saw horses running around frantically near the bus stop. People were running here and there trying to avoid the horses, and it was absolute chaos.”

Another witness, Megan Mora, said: “The horse appeared to have a head injury. “There was a lot of blood lost,” she said, adding, “It was painful to see the poor horses.”

London Emergency Medical Services said four people were injured in three areas and taken to hospital. Among them, it was reported that there was one soldier who fell from his horse.

Authorities said all horses were captured and quarantined, and two horses were injured.

“A number of horses went out of control during routine training this morning,” the British military said in a statement.
