A story was told about a high school girl who picked up a bundle of money that had fallen in an alley on a dark night and brought it to the police station.
According to the Hadong Police Station in Gyeongsangnam-do and the official YouTube channel of the National Police Agency on the 25th, around 9 pm last February, Mr. A, a man who was riding a bicycle in a residential alley in Hadong-eup, Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, dropped a total of 1.22 million won in cash, including 10,000 won notes and 50,000 won notes.
In the video of the incident, Mr. A, who was riding a bicycle, passes through an alley without noticing a bundle of cash falling out of his pants pocket.
The cash was left on the ground for a while, including being stepped on by a passing vehicle. A while later, Ms. B, a first-year high school student who was passing by, noticed the bill and stopped. Ms. B looked around as if looking for the owner, took a picture of the bundle of cash with her cell phone, then squatted down and started picking it up one by one. After picking up all the cash, Mr. B stood up and delivered the cash he had picked up to the nearby Hadong Police Station.
Based on Ms. B’s report that she had picked up a bundle of cash on a residential road, the police watched nearby closed-circuit (CCTV) footage with the control center staff to determine Mr. A’s appearance and movements. The police found Mr. A’s bicycle parked on a nearby road and handed over all the cash he had dropped.
