[시사경제신문=서아론 기자] Korea Fashion Week (CEO Jeong Young-soo) is preparing the first issue of Korea’s first fashion model magazine and focusing on the debut of new models.

Korea Fashion Week was planned to select the first fashion models in May 2023, analyze the crisis in the disorderly fashion field, and present new opportunities and tasks that ensure the development of the related field. To this end, a two-day workshop at the Gapyeong Teacher Training Center was held in June last year to confirm her presence as a model and increase her confidence on stage.

In particular, various exit strategies were explored, including a stage to measure the activity areas and successful performance of senior models produced by department store cultural centers, university lifelong education centers, fashion specialized academies, fashion model agencies, and 226 local government cultural centers nationwide.

So far, the fashion model industry has focused on promoting the products of several brands leading the industry. Events sprung up all over the place, and most of them were unrecognized events under the name of the self-proclaimed 00 Model Association. Some models showed the limitations of the runway stage by appearing in various competitions with different names.

Korea Fashion Week plans to discover and operate programs to complement these shortcomings, strengthen the expertise of models, and improve the perfection of the stage. Through this, we focus on expanding the industry areas that models can enter.

The models selected this time will debut as Korea Fashion Week pictorial models through the second screening, and those who advance to the third round will be given the privilege of appearing as the main model in various fashion shows hosted by Korea Fashion Week.

CEO Youngsoo Jeong said, “We will present the vision of a Korean fashion model in line with the recent trend of active seniors over 50 who require new content about self-development and hobby activities and set a new milestone in the fashion industry.” He added, “Through these innovations, K “We will upgrade the level of fashion and establish ourselves as a fashion specialized media representing the global era,” he emphasized.
