(Daily Daegu Gyeongbuk News = Reporter Hwang Ji-hyeon) Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) held the 3rd regular meeting of the 3rd Gyeongsangbuk-do Future Education Committee at The K Hotel Gyeongju in Gyeongju-si on April 26.

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Future Education Committee, comprised of 30 experts in each field, is responsible for establishing Gyeongbuk’s future education policy and deliberating important matters related to education development to lead the 4th Industrial Revolution and the era of artificial intelligence.

The agenda of this day’s meeting was ‘Vitalization of career advancement education to find dreams’ and ‘Plan for promoting special educational development zones for regionally-led educational innovation’, which are being promoted to nurture Gyeongbuk students into future leaders. After a preliminary explanation by the Office of Education, After in-depth discussions in each of the four subcommittees, presentations and deliberations were held at the main meeting.

In order to ‘vitalize career advancement education to find one’s dreams,’ customized career guidance guidance that takes into account each student’s characteristics and ways to expand career experience opportunities through cooperation with schools and local communities were presented.

In addition, regarding the ‘Plan to promote special educational development zones for regionally-led educational innovation’, the establishment of educational policies that take regional characteristics into account and the construction of educational infrastructure through cooperation with the local community were presented and discussed.

Superintendent Lim Jong-sik said, “I ask the Future Education Committee to be a strong partner of Gyeongbuk Education so that our students can grow into protagonists who will lead the future society.”
