(Chungnam = International News) Reporter Eui-gyu Park = On the 26th, South Chungcheong Province conducted an on-site evaluation by the Youth, Women and Family Division of the Provincial Evaluation Group targeting the Chungnam Foreigner Integrated Support Call Center and Asan City Youth Culture House.

This on-site evaluation was conducted to directly examine major provincial government project sites from the perspective of provincial residents, find ways to improve policies, and strengthen communication with provincial residents.

On this day, about 20 people, including members of the Youth, Women and Family Division of the 14th Citizens Evaluation Group and related public officials, visited the Chungnam Foreign Residents Integrated Support Call Center in Dongnam-gu, Cheonan and the Asan City Youth Culture House in Baebang-eup, Asan to check the project site.

First, the Chungnam Foreign Residents Integrated Support Call Center evaluated basic counseling functions such as interpretation and translation services to resolve inconveniences in the lives of foreign residents, provision of living information, linkage to institutions necessary for administrative procedures and daily life of foreign residents, and the status of support for immigration and stay.

Next, the Asan City Youth Culture House evaluated the current status of operation of various educational and experience programs utilizing youth’s after-school time and suggested areas for improvement in community-linked projects for youth’s participation and growth in the community.

Kang Won-hyuk, chairman of the Youth, Women and Family Subcommittee of the Citizens’ Evaluation Group, who is in charge of this evaluation, said, “This evaluation is an opportunity for residents to participate directly to identify problems in policy implementation and seek ways to improve.” “The evaluation team will work together to create a foundation so that we can strengthen and promote citizen-centered policies,” he said.
