[스포츠조선 권인하 기자]The KBO League is expected to exceed 2 million spectators on the 27th.

The KBO League played 143 games until the 26th, with a total attendance of 1,943,328. Last year, the number was 151,3758, an increase of 28%.

If 56,672 spectators attend the five stadiums held on the 27th, the number of spectators will exceed 2 million. The 27th is Saturday, the most crowded day, so if it is not canceled due to rain, it is likely that the attendance will exceed 2 million.

It is the second-lowest number of games ever and the fewest games played since 2015, when the 10-team system began, exceeding 2 million.

In the past, the lowest number of viewers for a KBO League game to exceed 2 million was 126 games in 2012. The average audience at that time was a whopping 13,451 people.

The second place in history was 155 games, 29 years ago in 1995. This year, we were finally able to break this record. When all five games are played on the 27th, the number of viewers will exceed 2 million after 148 games.

Since the 10-team system, the minimum game attendance exceeded 2 million was 166 games in 2017. This ranks 6th in all-time records. This year, 16 games were shortened, showing a fast pace of surpassing 2 million viewers.

Looking at the attendance records as of the 26th, the Doosan Bears had 257,091 in 15 games, the LG Twins had 256,665 in 15 games, the SSG Landers had 252,009 in 18 games, and the Lotte Giants had 215,258 in 14 games. Four teams, including others, exceeded 200,000 people.

The KIA Tigers, who are in first place, are dreaming of surpassing 1 million viewers for the second time since 2017, with 190,376 fans in 12 games, a whopping 89% increase compared to last year. The Samsung Lions improved to 197,418 in 14 games. Hanwha sold out all 12 games and recorded 144,000 spectators.

In terms of average audience, the first place is Doosan Bears with 17,139 people, and the second place is LG with 17,111 people. KIA ranked 3rd with 15,865 people, Lotte ranked 4th with 15,376 people, Samsung ranked 5th and 6th with 14,101 people, and SSG ranked 5th and 6th with 14,001 people. Hanwha is in 7th place with all games sold out, but with an average attendance of 12,000 due to the small stadium. NC Dinos had 8,740 people, the only one that did not exceed 10,000 on average. The average of the 10 teams is 13,590. At the current pace, we can expect 9.78 million people.
